New Construction Plumbing Installer
PlumbCo

Congrats to our newest “Former Business Owner” client who sold his plumbing business of 15 years.

Our client the seller was a retiring plumber who had at least two careers that I’m aware of before this one.

He ran this one for 15 years and built a team of plumbers that he had hand selected and who looked up to him as their leader.

He built a management team who he considered to be his colleagues.

He didn’t just give these blue collar workers great jobs, he mentored them and encouraged them to be better plumbers.

He built a culture that created a well known brand in the market, which got repeat business from some of the top home builders in the Triangle.

This deal enabled the owner to step out of all of that to focus on his next chapter of his life.

That chapter will include spending more time with his family, spending more time on his hobbies, and not working so hard now that he’s done his share of putting the long hours in.

This deal involved getting him out of his lease obligations, out from under future capital expenditures, and out from under the other liabilities that come with running a significant service business.

That’s what I consider a big deal.

And yes, it did earn him a meaningful financial consideration that he definitely deserved for building a great company through over a decade of hard work.

Riding shotgun with entrepreneurs making big moves like this is one of the most enjoyable things about my work.

Riding the emotional roller coaster that started almost exactly one year ago when I was referred to the owner and seeing it to the end… That is a big deal.
